Glass roof window broken Dehler Optima 5,4 \'96
Hello Dehler team,
(I’ll write you in english, cause i don’t know german language, so sorry!)
My name is Manel, I’m writing from Barcelona, Spain.
I own a beautifull Wolkswagen T4 2,5 TDI, Dehler Optima 5,4 1996 model for one year allready. As far as I know is the only one in Spain with spanish plate.
Let me tell you first of all I’m really impressed about this van, its performance as a home van and its design and well minded craft, for me it’s really an art kraft, honestly they made a great job with this van, and I would encourage them to follow with new models.
The subject of my e-mail is because I recently got an accident and I broke the rear roof cristal window. I had it open and I passed through a tunnel not enough high and the window crashed in thousand small pieces. It was absolutelly my fault to forget clossing the window. Thanks God the frame is in perfect conditions.
The point is that I’have been searching a new crystal roof window in Spain and I couldn’t find any provider that adjust to the original one. They tell me I should change the whole system (the frame and the crystal window) wich I don’t want to do that. I prefer keep the original.
My question is, do you have any idea who could provide me this crystal roof in Spain??
If not, Could you provide me this crystal roof?? Or do you have any provider of this crystal windows??
I’m plannig to be in South-Ouest coast of France for the next days, May be could I find some distribuitor or dealer of this crystal roof windows???
I would apreciate any other idea or information about that.
By the way, I attach to you all the references and numbers I finded in the other window in order to help you understand wich kind of window it is:
THERMALITE (meassures: 725mm x 35 mm)
Reference codes that are shown in the windows:
BS AU178
DOT 171 AS3 M23
43 R – 00103
Many thanks in advance for your help. I would love to keep in touch after finding this web page and forums and so. I’m so proud to be a lucky owner of one of this models.
Kind regards everyone
Manel I.
